Location: Monterrey, NL (local candidates only)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 – 16:00
Work model: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days home office – non-negotiable)

Important:
This is a hands-on Jira administration role (NOT a project management or Jira user role).
Only candidates currently based in Monterrey and the metropolitan area will be considered.
No relocation support is provided.
No students.

About the role:
Join NOV’s global IT team as a Jira Administrator supporting enterprise Atlassian environments. In this role, you will design, configure, and optimize Jira platforms to improve workflows, automation, and reporting across global teams.

You will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to ensure Jira is scalable, efficient, and aligned with organizational needs.

Key responsibilities:
Design and configure Jira projects, workflows, issue types, permissions, and automation rules.
Develop dashboards, boards, and advanced JQL queries to track performance, SLAs, and team productivity.
Integrate Jira with external systems using REST APIs, webhooks, and automation tools (e.g., ScriptRunner).
Administer Jira Assets (Insight) to support asset management and CMDB-related processes.
Monitor system performance (logs, indexes, dashboards) and resolve issues proactively.
Support governance and standardization of workflows, permissions, and configurations.
Create documentation and provide training to users and power users.

Required experience:
3+ years of hands-on experience administering Jira (Data Center or Cloud).
Strong experience with Jira configuration (workflows, permissions, automation).
Advanced knowledge of JQL and dashboard/report creation.
Experience working with integrations (APIs, webhooks, or similar tools).
Strong communication skills and ability to work with global teams.
Fluent English required.

Preferred:
Experience with Confluence administration or integration.
Experience with Script Runner or scripting (Groovy).
Familiarity with ITSM / ITIL frameworks.
Atlassian certifications (ACP or similar).
Experience working in enterprise or large-scale environments.
