The role is 100% remote from any location in Mexico. The client is located in the United States, so a fluent English level is required. Hiring: Prestador de Servicios (Se solicitará factura timbrada por el SAT/ RESICO, Persona Física con Actividades Empresariales, etc) Labor Days: Mon- Fri from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST (Unites States time zone) Salary: Up to $30,000 MXN gross We are seeking an experienced Windows Systems Administrator to manage, monitor, and maintain our IT infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring high availability, security, and performance across all systems, servers, and network components. You will work closely with management to maintain best practices, troubleshoot issues, and lead system upgrades and improvements. Key Responsibilities: Policies and Procedures: Follow policies, procedures, and best practices. Develop new procedures as necessary, documenting all steps for approval by management and addition to procedure manual, for future use. Systems & Server Management: Manage all hosts running Windows Server 2025 Datacenter Manage and maintain all virtual machines (currently Windows Server 2019) Plan and execute upgrades of VM servers to Windows Server 2026 Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of systems and infrastructure Virtualization & Microsoft Stack: Install, configure, and manage Windows System Center tools (SCVMM, SCCM, etc.) Build, manage, and deploy VM server templates Manage and support Windows RDS servers Monitor system performance and perform proactive maintenance Security Maintain a security-first mindset Protect the network from intrusion and data compromise at all times Work with management, employees, and developers to ensure security compliance Active Directory Management: Active Directory, security groups, and access controls Create, maintain, and enforce Group Policies (GPOs) Implement security best practices, including backups, firewalls, and access policies Networking & Infrastructure: Manage network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, and routers Troubleshoot network and server-related issues Ensure proper documentation of systems and configurations Automation: Develop Powershell scripts to automate tasks and integrate with internal systems Build procedures which utilize scripts Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical problems Perform root cause analysis for production issues Skills: Must have 5+ years of experience in Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role Must have 5+ years of experience in Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012 / 2016 / 2019 Must have 2+ years of experience in Experience managing virtualized environments Must have 5+ years of experience in Solid understanding of networking, databases, and system security Must have 3+ years of experience in Experience with backup and disaster recovery Must have 5+ years of experience in Scripting experience (Python, Perl, PowerShell, or similar) Must have 5+ years of experience in Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Must have 5+ years of experience in Strong communication skills (able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users) Nice to have knowledge in Microsoft certifications (MCSA or equivalent) Nice to have knowledge in Experience with large-scale infrastructure or enterprise environments Nice to have knowledge in Experience leading server upgrades and migrations Nice to have knowledge in Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
