Location: Monterrey, NL (local candidates only)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 to 16:00
Work model: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days home office – non-negotiable)

Important:
This is a hands-on role focused on software asset tracking, reporting, and license management support.
This is NOT a senior licensing or audit lead position.
Only candidates currently based in Monterrey and the metropolitan area will be considered.
No relocation support is provided.
Fluent English required for daily communication with global teams.
No students.

About the role:
We are looking for a Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst to support software lifecycle management, reporting, and optimization activities across NOV’s global environment.


In this role, you will work with software inventory, usage data, and licensing information to support compliance, reporting, and cost optimization initiatives.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience in IT asset management, licensing support, or data analysis who want to grow in SAM practices.

Key responsibilities:
Support software asset lifecycle activities including request, deployment, tracking, and retirement.
Maintain and update software inventory and asset records.
Assist in license tracking, usage analysis, and basic compliance reporting.
Support the administration of SAM tools or asset management platforms.
Help prepare reports and dashboards related to software usage, costs, and compliance.
Collaborate with procurement, IT, and finance teams to support renewals and software tracking.
Identify opportunities to optimize license usage and reduce waste.
Maintain documentation and support data quality across systems.

Required experience:
2–4 years of experience in IT asset management, software asset management, or related roles.
Experience working with software inventory, licensing data, or IT asset tracking.
Strong analytical skills and experience working with data.
Experience with Excel (pivot tables, data analysis).
Basic knowledge of software licensing concepts.
Experience with reporting tools or dashboards is a plus.
Fluent English required (daily communication with global teams).

Preferred:
Experience with SAM tools such as Flexera, ServiceNow, or similar.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or basic SQL.
Exposure to software licensing (Microsoft, Oracle, or similar).
Relevant certifications in IT Asset Management or SAM.
