Location: Monterrey, NL (local candidates only)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 to 16:00
Work model: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days home office – non-negotiable.

Important:
This is a hands-on cybersecurity engineering role focused on implementation, automation, and security controls.
This is NOT a SOC analyst or monitoring-only position.
Only candidates currently based in Monterrey and the metropolitan area will be considered.
No relocation support is provided.
Candidates must have hands-on experience implementing or managing security controls in infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise environments.
Profiles with only academic, internship, or basic support experience will NOT be considered.

About the role:
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join NOV’s Security Engineering team. In this role, you will help design, implement, and improve security controls across infrastructure, cloud, and identity environments.

You will work with modern security tools and automation to strengthen protection, improve response capabilities, and support secure architecture across global systems.

Key responsibilities:
Implement and manage security controls across cloud, identity, endpoint, and network environments.
Support security configurations in Azure, AWS, and hybrid infrastructures aligned with Zero Trust principles.
Automate security tasks and workflows using scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
Participate in security design reviews and provide recommendations for infrastructure and application changes.
Perform technical risk assessments and identify vulnerabilities or control gaps.
Review system and network changes for potential security risks.
Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to integrate security into daily operations.
Support continuous improvement of security tools, processes, and controls.

Required experience:
3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure, or cloud security roles.
Experience implementing or managing security controls in enterprise environments.
Experience working with security tools (endpoint, identity, network, or cloud security platforms).
Basic to intermediate experience with cloud security (Azure or AWS).
Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
Understanding of network security, endpoint protection, and access control concepts.
Experience participating in risk assessments or security reviews.
Fluent English required (global collaboration).

Preferred:
Experience with tools such as Okta, SentinelOne, Zscaler, or similar.
Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO, CIS).
Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or similar.
Exposure to automation or AI-assisted security tools.
Experience working in enterprise environments.
